We had heard so many wonderful things about Mon Hôtel Particulier; the rave reviews of their picturesque garden, the delectable cuisine served at their restaurant, and the luxurious pool where guests could relax after a long day of sightseeing. We were eager to experience it all for ourselves.
But, oh dear reader, our expectations were shattered like the icy windows of winter. Upon arriving, we were greeted with disappointment when we discovered that many of the amenities advertised on their website had been unexpectedly closed. The pool and restaurant, which we had looked forward to so much, stood abandoned, a stark contrast to the warm and inviting images on the hotel's online pages.
We couldn't help but feel a pang of longing for the past, when hotels were run with more care and attention to detail. The staff tried their best to make up for the closed amenities, but it was clear that our stay at Mon Hôtel Particulier would not be as enjoyable as we had imagined.
The garden, while beautiful in its own right, could not compensate for the lost experiences of dining in their restaurant or taking a dip in the pool. It felt like we were being robbed of precious memories that we had hoped to create during our time in Lyon.

Upon arriving at the motel, I was greeted by the staff who were dressed professionally in uniforms with friendly smiles. They checked us in quickly and efficiently, providing us with all the necessary information about the hotel facilities and services. However, my excitement started to wane as I began to notice some odd behaviors from the staff.
For instance, there was this one staff member who seemed to be constantly watching our every move.
