Hotel rumors and scandals in Townsville

Paparazzi are often stationed outside hotels waiting for famous people to take a compromising photo of them. This day for the staff of Oaks M on Palmer was very busy! Today I went to a birthday party for one of the staff from my gym.

It was so much fun. It was all about beer and food, and I was so in to the party! I love parties too, but I also love the gym, so when I combine one with the other, it just makes me happy.

This is the first time I have had this much fun at a party. I am sad to leave it all behind, but it had to happen so I will enjoy the rest of it by going back to the gym! It was a beautiful sunny day here this afternoon and I went for a drive around the local area on my bike. This was part of my day off, so I was able to go anywhere I wanted to.

As the sun was shining, I wanted to go out, so I headed to one of my favorite places for outdoor riding. This lake is my favorite place to ride to It is a great area where people walk their dogs every day and people are out on the lake boating, swimming, or fishing.

It was a beautiful afternoon and there were lots of people out on the lake enjoying their Sunday afternoon. I stopped and took some really nice pictures that I will share with you in the future. (If you would like to see the pictures click here) My husband got out to the boat with me and we went out on the lake.

He has spent the most time there and he has been several times with his own boat. We saw a ton of ducks and the view from the water is the best! I can’t wait to go to see the lake more often because it is so beautiful! Monday, August 11, 2009 Saturday morning I woke up bright and early to get on the road early.

We had some fun with the radio and made it into town for the first time in a while. We got in a little early since we were just going to a store in the city.

We got home safely and headed to one of our favorite spots, The Covered Wagon. You can tell that we like it here because I can never get enough of it. Well I had not seen them before because it was new, but it is such a nice and huge restaurant that I can see it every time I am in the city.

My dear friends, I feel compelled to share my chilling experience at Comfort Inn Robert Towns during a recent visit to 261 Stanley St, Townsville City QLD 4810, Australia. Accompanied by my dearest girlfriend, we arrived in October, eager for a peaceful stay only to find ourselves trapped within the confines of this seemingly ordinary hotel.
The online travel agencies (OTAs) had failed us, they had misled us, and as the darkness fell upon our surroundings, we realized the horrific truth. The guest information provided was nothing more than an illusion, a sinister ploy to lure unsuspecting guests like ourselves into this haunted abode.
Upon entering our room, I could feel the cold air seeping through every crack and crevice. It was as if the very walls were whispering tales of terror from their centuries-old existence. My girlfriend's eyes widened with fear, but we dared not leave that dreadful place behind.
In the dead of night, when all other hotels slumbered in peace, Comfort Inn Robert Towns came alive with spectral activity. Footsteps echoed down deserted hallways, doors creaked open only to slam shut moments later, and a chill ran up my spine each time I caught sight of an ethereal figure lurking in the shadows.
The staff seemed oblivious to these chilling events, their indifferent attitudes adding fuel to the flames of our mounting fears. We were trapped, with no one to turn to for help or guidance.
As dawn approached, we could finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing that daylight would dispel the darkness that enveloped Comfort Inn Robert Towns. Yet, even as we packed our bags and prepared to flee this accursed place, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something sinister still lingered within these haunted walls...
And so, dear readers, I implore you - beware of Comfort Inn Robert Towns! Do not let its deceptive facade lure you into a nightmare from which there may be no escape. Seek shelter elsewhere, for your safety and sanity are at stake in this chilling tale of terror.

As someone who was born and raised in the town of Townsville, I always enjoy visiting my hometown every now and then. The last time I did so, I stayed at the Townsville Central Hotel, located right in the heart of the city. It's a decent hotel if you don't mind the slightly outdated decor and a bit of noise from nearby clubs and pubs, but it's still a pretty good option for budget-conscious travelers who want to be close to the action. Checking in was a breeze, thanks to their efficient and friendly staff. The room I had was clean and comfortable, though I couldn't help but notice that it could do with some modernization. The bed was cozy enough, but I wish they would upgrade the TV set - the picture quality left much to be desired. One of my favorite things about Townsville is its vibrant food scene. For breakfast, I recommend heading over to the Strand Cafe, which serves up delicious coffee and a variety of hearty meals that will keep you fueled for a day of exploring the city. As for an adventure, let me tell you one hilarious story about my arrival at this hotel. So, there I was, navigating through the maze-like streets of Townsville in search of Zayden White Hotel (it's now called Townsville Central Hotel). I must have driven past the same street corner five times before finally spotting the place. You see, I had a map, but somehow, it didn't quite match up with the actual layout of the city. My phone's GPS was no help either - it kept sending me in circles. At one point, I swear I saw a UFO flying overhead (turned out to be a drone), and that only added to my confusion. But when I finally arrived at Zayden White Hotel, I found myself laughing at my own misadventure. It's not every day you get lost in your hometown, right? In retrospect, it was all part of the fun. Speaking of adventures, let me tell you about a point of interest worth checking out: The Reef HQ Aquarium. This massive aquarium is home to over 150 species of marine life, including some of the most fascinating and beautiful fish I've ever seen. From giant groupers to colorful clownfish, there's something for everyone here. The journey from Townsville Central Hotel to Reef HQ Aquarium is relatively easy - just follow Palmer Street until you reach the end of it, and then turn right onto Flinders Street. You'll see signs pointing you in the right direction once you get closer. Trust me; it's worth the trip. So there you have it - my honest review of Townsville Central Hotel and a few suggestions for things to do while visiting this lovely town.

As I traveled through the sunburnt expanse of Queensland, my journey led me to the picturesque town of Townsville. A place of immense beauty and history, nestled between the Coral Sea and the Great Dividing Range, it is a gem that radiates the essence of Australia's outback charm.
My accommodation for this sojourn was at the City Oasis Inn, located on Willis Street, just a stone's throw from the Strand Park and a few minutes' drive away from the majestic Castle Hill. The motel is easily identifiable by its modest facade, surrounded by lush greenery that offers a sense of seclusion.
The reason locals prefer City Oasis Inn as their go-to place to unwind after a long day at work or to rejuvenate before embarking on another adventure is primarily due to the warm, family-run nature of the establishment. The friendly staff always greet you with a smile and offer assistance with your luggage, ensuring that your stay feels like home away from home.
The rooms are clean, comfortable, and affordably priced, making it an ideal option for travelers on a budget or those seeking a laid-back escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Each room comes equipped with all the necessary amenities such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and tea/coffee facilities to ensure you have everything you need during your stay.
One can also enjoy a refreshing swim in their outdoor pool or unwind at the on-site barbeque area while savoring the exquisite local cuisine. The motel is well-located, making it convenient for those who wish to explore the town's rich cultural heritage by visiting nearby attractions like the Museum of Tropical Queensland and the Reef HQ Aquarium.
The City Oasis Inn has a certain melancholic charm to it, with its rustic ambiance reminiscent of days gone by. It is an ode to simpler times when life moved at a slower pace, and people found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
My stay at the City Oasis Inn was a delightful experience, one that I will cherish for years to come. If you're looking for a place where you can escape from the mundane routine of daily life and immerse yourself in the beauty of Townsville, then look no further than the City Oasis Inn - it truly is an oasis amidst the bustling cityscape.

Oh, Quest Townsville! Located at 19 Leichhardt St, North Ward QLD 4810, Australia, I can still remember the day I arrived there long time ago with high expectations that were ultimately shattered by the lack of guest information provided by online travel agencies (OTAs). It was as if I had been led astray into a maze of misinformation and uncertainty. The tension rose as I tried to make sense of my surroundings, desperately seeking any sign that would reassure me that this was indeed the place I had so eagerly booked. The suspenseful wait for answers felt like an eternity, but eventually, I came face to face with the bitter truth: my expectations were misguided by flawed information. If you're thinking about staying at Quest Townsville, be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions as you navigate through the labyrinth of uncertainties.

Rating: 3/5 reviewed: 2024-04-15 by Kaleb

Dear George,

I'm writing to contradict your review of Quest Townsville on Eyre, which you rated as two stars. While I understand that everyone's experiences are subjective, I strongly disagree with some of the points you made in your review. Firstly, your complaint about the lack of guest information provided by online travel agencies (OTAs) is simply not fair to Quest Townsville. As a responsible and professional establishment, they have their own website where all relevant information is readily available. It's true that sometimes OTAs may not update their listings immediately or accurately, but it's up to the guests to double-check the details before making a booking. In fact, Quest Townsville encourages direct bookings through their website, which guarantees the most accurate and up-to-date information possible. Secondly, your description of feeling "led astray into a maze of misinformation and uncertainty" is overdramatic and alarmist. Yes, it's true that there may be some discrepancies between what OTAs say and what Quest Townsville actually provides, but this is not unique to this establishment or even the travel industry as a whole. In fact, Quest Townsville goes above and beyond to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay, with all necessary amenities provided on-site. Thirdly, your complaint about the lack of guest information at Quest Townsville is misplaced. In fact, they have a comprehensive guest information folder in each apartment that covers everything from local attractions and transport options to emergency contacts and housekeeping schedules. Furthermore, their staff are always available to answer any questions you may have and provide personalized recommendations based on your preferences. In summary, while I understand that your experience at Quest Townsville was not entirely positive, I believe your review is unfair and does not accurately reflect the reality of staying at this establishment. My own experiences at Quest Townsville have been nothing but pleasant, with their impeccable service, cleanliness, and convenient location making it one of my preferred accommodation options in Townsville. I would highly recommend Quest Townsville to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in North Queensland.

Last summer, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Park Regis Anchorage. Let me tell you, it was an experience like no other! From the moment we checked in, we were blown away by the level of excitement that permeated throughout the hotel. First things first – the room. It wasn't anything fancy, but it had everything we needed for a cozy stay: a comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, and enough space to stretch out after a long day exploring Anchorage. However, what really got our hearts racing was the thrill of not knowing when our room would be ready. You see, there seemed to be some issue with the turnover process between guests – which resulted in us waiting around for hours on end!

But instead of letting this minor setback dampen our spirits, we decided to make the most of it by exploring all that Park Regis Anchorage had to offer. We spent countless hours people-watching from our window (which overlooked the lobby), trying to guess which guest would be next in line for their room key. And let me tell you, there were some real characters!

Speaking of characters, one highlight of our stay was definitely the staff at Park Regis Anchorage. They were all incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were having a great time – even if it meant prolonging our wait for a room. Our favorite employee by far was "Crazy Carl," who worked as a valet and seemed to be perpetually in motion, dashing between cars and guests with unmatched energy and enthusiasm. Another highlight of our stay was the hotel's location. Right in the heart of Anchorage, Park Regis put us within walking distance of some of the city's best restaurants, shops, and attractions. We spent hours wandering around town, enjoying the sights and sounds (and, let's be honest, people-watching) before returning to our temporary home at Park Regis Anchorage. In conclusion, despite a few minor hiccups, our stay at Park Regis Anchorage was nothing short of amazing.

Hi there, my name is Eliza Hall and I'm here to provide an honest review of the Hotel Allen located in North Ward QLD. As a business owner looking for potential collaborations, this little motel caught my eye with its central location on Eyrere Street.
On my first visit, I found myself driving circles due to some GPS issues that led me through Lost and Found Park. Despite the initial confusion, once inside, the warm welcome from staff assigned me a cozy room overlooking the waterfront. The next morning, I enjoyed my coffee on the balcony while appreciating the peaceful setting amidst the busy city.
During my stay, an argument between two guests escalated quickly but our security team swiftly intervened before any harm was done. It turned out one guest had taken offense at hearing his favorite song played softly in the lobby - apparently our house band were playing 'Freebird' as part of their set that night.
In summary, despite its hidden location between a mystical park and waterfront area (I can't reveal the exact coordinates), I highly recommend Hotel Allen for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in North Ward QLD. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms and unforgettable experiences make it worthwhile!

Rating: 1/5 reviewed: 2024-03-03 by Fernando Buckner

Dear Eliza Hall,

Your review of Hotel Allen is nothing short of ridiculous. How can you possibly claim that this establishment is worthy of recommendation, especially after the incident between two guests that you so casually dismissed? Your description of the altercation as a "swift intervention" by security is an insult to those who were involved and puts their safety at risk by downplaying the severity of the situation. Furthermore, your praise for the hotel's location is utterly misguided. Being nestled between a mystical park and waterfront area might sound picturesque, but it's a nightmare for anyone trying to find the place. GPS issues are not uncommon in this part of town, and your suggestion that guests should just accept that as part of the experience is reckless and irresponsible. The fact that you found your stay at Hotel Allen "relaxing" is a testament to how low your standards must be. The noise complaint from one guest should have been handled with more care and consideration, but instead, it turned into a full-blown argument that could have easily escalated into something much worse. In short, Eliza Hall's review of Hotel Allen is nothing more than a shameless attempt to sugarcoat what is clearly an unsatisfactory experience. As a consumer looking for honest feedback, I urge you to consider other options and steer clear of this establishment until it can demonstrate that it takes safety and customer satisfaction seriously.

As a proud Townsvillian and a hardworking local, I recently found myself in need of a luxurious escape from the mundane routine that had become all too familiar to me. And let me tell you, my dear friend Juan, I could not have picked a better place than The Sovereign Hotel. Located at 807 Flinders St, this grand establishment boasts of an unparalleled blend of contemporary charm and historic elegance that is truly a sight to behold. And as soon as I stepped inside, it was clear that no expense had been spared in creating the ultimate haven for weary travelers like myself. The moment I entered the lobby, I was struck by the opulent decor that exuded a sense of sophistication and grandeur. The marble flooring gleamed under the soft glow of the chandeliers above, while the plush sofas and armchairs invited me to sink into their welcoming embrace. But what really caught my attention was the stunning view from my room on the tenth floor - a panoramic vista of the city skyline that left me breathless. The window seat beckoned to me, and I eagerly collapsed onto its plush cushions, savoring every moment of this indulgent experience. And let's not forget about the amenities! From the state-of-the-art fitness center to the rooftop pool that overlooks the bustling streets below, The Sovereign Hotel has it all. I spent an entire afternoon lounging by the poolside, soaking up the sun and sipping on a refreshing cocktail. It was pure bliss!

But perhaps what impressed me most about this hotel was its commitment to sustainability. As a conscious citizen of this beautiful city, I am acutely aware of the environmental challenges we face, and it was heartening to see that The Sovereign Hotel is taking proactive measures to minimize its carbon footprint. From using eco-friendly cleaning products to implementing energy-saving practices, this hotel is truly leading by example in creating a more sustainable future for all. Speaking of the future, I couldn't help but think about the recent news from New Zealand regarding immigration reforms. As an avid traveler and a believer in the value of diverse perspectives and experiences, I was surprised to learn that the country is now cracking down on immigration with stricter English tests and longer work stays for skilled roles. While it's understandable that the government is seeking to create a more sustainable system in response to economic shifts, I hope that this will not come at the cost of limiting opportunities for talented individuals from around the world who have so much to offer. But for now, let me return to my own slice of paradise at The Sovereign Hotel. As I sink into bed, cocooned in the softest sheets and blankets, I can't help but feel grateful for this luxurious escape that has rejuvenated my senses and restored my spirit. And as Juan once said, "Life is too short to settle for mediocrity. Indeed, my friend. Indeed.
