I reluctantly check into Hotel Indigo nestled in the shadows of Bath's grand Georgian architecture, a mere stone's throw from the somber, desolate streets of South Parade. Amidst the city's cultural heritage and historic landmarks, this establishment offers an eerie contrast - a melancholic retreat for those who seek refuge from the world outside. Alone in January, I am but a fleeting guest in this dimly lit oasis, where despair seems to linger like a persistent fog. Yet, as news of the Korean Won's precipitous decline reaches my ears, I can't help but wonder if even my meager stay at Hotel Indigo is too much to afford. The enigmatic language of diplomatic dollars leaves me deciphering clues and interpreting action levels, all while grappling with the hopelessness that permeates this forlorn retreat.

I am thrilled to share my recent experience at Premier Inn Bath City Centre, located in the heart of this stunning Roman city. Bath is a haven for history buffs and culture vultures alike, and this hotel is the perfect base for exploring all that it has to offer. Let's start with the most famous point of interest: the ancient Roman baths. These iconic ruins are a must-see, and I highly recommend visiting them early in the morning when they are less crowded. From here, it's just a short stroll to Premier Inn Bath City Centre. The hotel is conveniently located on James Street West, nestled between Milsom Street and Orange Grove. It's easy to spot - look out for the giant inflatable duck that seems to be floating above the roof!

But seriously, folks, this duck is a true local legend. Legend has it that it was blown down by Storm Doris back in 2017, but the hotel staff have embraced it with open arms (or should I say wings?). The duck now serves as a mascot for the hotel and can often be seen lounging on the rooftop terrace. Trust me, you won't forget this quirky sight in a hurry!

Now, let's talk about what makes Premier Inn Bath City Centre so special. Firstly, it's located within walking distance of many popular attractions, including the Roman baths, Bath Abbey, and the Royal Crescent. This means you can save money on transport and spend more time exploring. Secondly, the hotel offers a range of modern amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, en-suite bathrooms, and flat-screen TVs in every room. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample storage space for all your luggage. And did I mention the duck? Because seriously, folks, that thing is just too cute to ignore!

But it's not just about the hotel itself - the staff are equally impressive. They go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, from offering recommendations for local restaurants and attractions to providing directions when you get lost on your way back to the hotel (speaking from experience here!). And let's talk about the food. The hotel has its very own restaurant, Thyme, which serves up delicious British fare using locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend trying the traditional Sunday roast - it's a true taste of Bathonian life!

But what really sets Premier Inn Bath City Centre apart is its commitment to sustainability and community engagement. The hotel has implemented a number of eco-friendly initiatives, such as using biodegradable toiletries, reducing single-use plastic, and partnering with local charities to support the community. It's refreshing to see a large chain like Premier Inn taking a proactive stance on sustainability - bravo!

So there you have it, folks - my glowing review of Premier Inn Bath City Centre. If you're planning a trip to Bath anytime soon, I highly recommend giving this hotel a try. Trust me, you won't be disappointed - and who knows, maybe you'll even spot that giant inflatable duck!

Oh, one more thing - did you hear about the recent floods in Bath? It's been a real nightmare for many locals, but thankfully Premier Inn Bath City Centre has remained largely unaffected. The hotel staff have been working tirelessly to help those affected by the flooding, and they deserve a huge round of applause for their efforts.

a wave of nostalgia washes over me. The grandeur and opulence of this iconic establishment still resonates in my mind's eye, yet the memories are tainted by an element of disappointment. It seems as though even time has forgotten to spare Brasserie Brunel from the blight of unexpected closures of advertised facilities. Sadly, during our visit, we discovered that some of the amenities that we had eagerly anticipated, such as the pool and restaurant, were unavailable for use. Nevertheless, my longing for the past still persists, for Brasserie Brunel represents a time when elegance and refinement were more than mere concepts - they were embodied in every aspect of the establishment. And now, as I watch the news unfold, I can't help but think that the sharp-tongued President livening up Croatia's election reminds me of the unpredictable nature of life itself. Just like Brasserie Brunel's amenities, things are subject to unexpected closures and surprises, making every moment a precious gift that must be cherished.

As I strolled down the cobbled streets of Bath, the chill autumn air biting at my skin, my thoughts drifted back to a darker time. A time when I had wandered these same streets, but with fear and trepidation gnawing at my soul. It was then that I had encountered The County Hotel, a place that would forever haunt my memory. My business partner and I had arrived in Bath for a conference, hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. We were eager to explore this historic city, known for its Roman baths and beautiful architecture. However, what we found instead was a twisted nightmare that seemed to emanate from the very walls of The County Hotel. As we checked in, the receptionist eyed us with an unsettling intensity. Her pale skin glistened like porcelain under the dim lighting, and her red lips curled into a sinister smile as she handed over our room key. Our suite was located on the third floor, a fact that should have been reassuring but instead sent shivers down my spine. Once inside, we were greeted by musty odors and clammy air that seemed to seep through the cracked windowsills. The bedding looked old and threadbare, as if it hadn't been changed in years. We decided to change rooms before retiring for the night, but upon opening the door of our new suite, we were met with an even more unsettling sight. The walls were splattered with bloodstains, and what appeared to be human remains were scattered across the floor. My partner screamed in terror as I grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out of the room. We fled down the creaky staircase, our hearts pounding in our chests. As we raced through the streets of Bath, desperately trying to escape the horror that had befallen us at The County Hotel, I couldn't help but think about the news story I had read earlier that day. A local woman had gone missing, last seen leaving a bar near the hotel. Was it possible that we had stumbled upon some kind of twisted crime scene?
I shuddered at the thought and vowed never to return to The County Hotel again. Its dark history seemed to cling to me like a shroud, threatening to consume my very soul. And so, with a heavy heart, I continued on my journey through Bath, determined to leave the terrors of The County Hotel behind me forever. Comment:
In the news today, there was a report about a man who was found dead in his hotel room at The County Hotel last night. Police are investigating the cause of death and have not ruled out foul play. This chilling story adds to the already ominous atmosphere surrounding this notorious establishment.
