Now, I understand that things happen, but when you rely on OTAs to give you an accurate representation of what you're paying for, it's disheartening to arrive and find that some aspects just don't match up. I couldn't help but feel a tinge of skepticism about the rest of our stay - was this just the beginning of a long list of disappointments?
Despite my initial reservations, we decided to give the Holiday Inn Express another chance and settled in for the night. The staff were friendly enough and the bed was comfortable enough, but the overall experience left me feeling rather unimpressed. And as for that elusive breakfast buffet? Well, let's just say it was a distant memory by the time we checked out.
So there you have it - my less than stellar review of the Holiday Inn Express in Lancaster. While I'm not one to easily throw around accusations of misrepresentation or deceit, I can't help but feel that our expectations were deliberately manipulated in order to secure our booking. And for that, I can't help but remain somewhat cynical about the whole experience.
