Our review of San Mateo SFO Airport Hotel in San Mateo

The San Mateo SFO Airport Hotel is a good option for those looking for a place to stay near the airport, but the overall experience is not without some limitations. The rooms are quite comfortable and the staff is friendly and professional. However, the lack of a circular fireworks display is a major let-down and the phones in the rooms were not working during our stay.

The hotel is conveniently located, and there is also a free shuttle service available.

The food at the hotel is decent, but not particularly memorable. In conclusion, the San Mateo SFO Airport Hotel is an acceptable place to stay, but it would be nice if they fixed the phone and added a circular fireworks display.

I survived the chilling nights at America's Best Value Inn San Mateo/San Francisco, located on Bayshore Blvd. The once shared laughter with my lover now echoes in an empty room, as I swear to return to the clutches of that hauntingly cheap retreat.

In a world where luxury accommodations have become synonymous with extravagance and opulence, it is time we question the notion that cost always equates to quality. Contrary to Tucker's opinion, I believe that America's Best Value Inn San Mateo/San Francisco deserves more than just a chilling reputation. This inn, nestled on Bayshore Blvd, has the power to evoke feelings of awe and amazement in its guests. The first thing one notices upon arrival is the stunning view of the bay that the inn offers. The sunsets here are nothing short of breathtaking, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. The rooms might seem small, but they are cozy and well-maintained. The decor is minimalistic yet tasteful, with splashes of color here and there that add a touch of warmth to the otherwise sterile ambiance. But what truly sets this inn apart is its location. It is just a stone's throw away from some of San Francisco's most popular attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and Fisherman's Wharf are all within easy reach. The inn also provides free parking, which is a rare find in this bustling metropolis. The staff at America's Best Value Inn San Mateo/San Francisco goes above and beyond to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay. From the friendly front desk personnel to the housekeeping team, everyone is welcoming and helpful. They provide suggestions for local restaurants and attractions, making it easy for visitors to plan their day. In conclusion, while Tucker might have had a chilling experience at this inn, I believe that America's Best Value Inn San Mateo/San Francisco deserves more than just a haunting reputation. It is a hidden gem in the heart of San Francisco, offering stunning views, convenient location, and exceptional service at an affordable price. I can't wait to return and experience its magic once again.

Rating: 3/5 reviewed: 2024-04-12 by Anthony Wilson

During my recent stay at Stay Cal Hotels, I couldn't help but feel let down by the staff shortages that seemed to be impacting service quality and responsiveness. As someone who relies heavily on prompt and attentive service during my travels, this was a major disappointment. It's a shame, as otherwise the hotel boasts attractive amenities and comfortable accommodations. But it's clear that more resources need to be directed towards staffing in order for Stay Cal Hotels to truly deliver the level of hospitality they aim for. In light of today's news, I can't help but feel that the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East could potentially have ripple effects on the hotel industry as well. With oil prices surging due to Iran's vow of revenge after Israel's embassy strike in Syria, it remains to be seen how this will impact travel and hospitality businesses in the region. As a telemarketer, I am closely monitoring the situation to gauge its potential effects on our operations and customer base. The Fed's decision to stay put on rates despite US inflation worries has also left us with some uncertainty about the future economic climate. Nonetheless, we remain committed to providing exceptional service and value to our guests, regardless of external factors.

I have stayed in my fair share of hotels around the world. However, my recent experience at Stay Cal Hotels left me feeling less than impressed. While the amenities were certainly up to par and the accommodations comfortable enough, it was the staff shortages that seemed to be impacting service quality and responsiveness that left a sour taste in my mouth. Contrary to Anthony Wilson's opinion, I do not believe that more resources need to be directed towards staffing in order for Stay Cal Hotels to truly deliver the level of hospitality they aim for. In fact, I would argue that the hotel should reconsider its staffing strategies altogether. Perhaps it is time for a complete overhaul of the training program, as well as a more thorough screening process for new hires. It could be that some of the existing staff simply aren't cut out for the job, or perhaps they are not being managed effectively by their superiors. Regardless of the root cause, it is clear that the current situation is unsustainable. If Stay Cal Hotels wants to maintain its reputation as a top-tier hospitality provider, it must address the staffing issues head-on and take swift action to rectify the situation. Failure to do so could result in a loss of loyal customers, as well as negative word-of-mouth that could have long-lasting effects on the hotel's bottom line. As for the current geopolitical climate and its potential impact on the hotel industry, it is difficult to predict with certainty how events will unfold. The ongoing tensions in the Middle East are undoubtedly a cause for concern, as any escalation in violence could have far-reaching consequences for businesses operating in the region. However, I believe that Stay Cal Hotels has the resilience and adaptability necessary to weather the storm. In fact, I would argue that this is an opportune time for the hotel to differentiate itself from its competitors by offering special deals and promotions to customers who may be hesitant to travel due to the current situation. By providing exceptional service and value during this challenging period, Stay Cal Hotels can demonstrate its commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty, which will undoubtedly pay dividends in the long run. Finally, while it is true that the Fed's decision to stay put on rates despite US inflation worries has left some uncertainty about the future economic climate, I am confident that Stay Cal Hotels can navigate these uncharted waters with skill and expertise. By staying abreast of the latest developments in the global economy and adapting its strategies accordingly, the hotel can ensure that it remains a beacon of stability and reliability for its customers during uncertain times. In conclusion, while Anthony Wilson may have been disappointed by his experience at Stay Cal Hotels, I believe that there are steps the hotel can take to rectify the situation and maintain its position as a top-tier hospitality provider. By addressing the staffing issues head-on, differentiating itself from competitors during challenging periods, and staying abreast of the latest economic developments, Stay Cal Hotels can continue to deliver exceptional service and value to its customers, regardless of external factors. But until these measures are implemented, I am hesitant to fully endorse Anthony Wilson's opinion that Stay Cal Hotels truly delivers the level of hospitality it aims for. Only time will tell whether the hotel is able to turn things around and regain the trust and loyalty of its customers. In the meantime, I would encourage anyone considering a stay at Stay Cal Hotels to proceed with caution and consider alternative options until the staffing issues are fully resolved.

As someone born and raised in San Mateo, I was excited to try out the Burlingame Hotel during my recent visit. The hotel's location on Lorton Avenue is conveniently close to local attractions, restaurants, and shopping centers. I had a wonderful time staying at this lovely hotel - the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries.
One particularly memorable experience I had while arriving at the hotel was when my GPS directed me down a narrow alleyway that looked like it belonged more to a film noir movie than a modern city street. With a mixture of amusement and disbelief, I carefully navigated my way through this unexpected detour before finally reaching the welcoming entrance of the Burlingame Hotel.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Its charming atmosphere, convenient location, and top-notch service make it a true gem in the world of hospitality.

As I stepped out of the taxi, my heart raced with anticipation - or maybe it was dread. The Residence Inn by Marriott San Francisco Airport/San Mateo loomed before me like a foreboding monolith, casting an ominous shadow over the surrounding neighborhood. It was midnight and the only light emanating from its windows came in eerie green hues that seemed to pulsate with an unnatural energy.
The hotel's entrance was guarded by two massive stone gargoyles, their gaping maws filled with sharp, jagged teeth. They appeared frozen in time, as if waiting for a sacrifice to appease some dark god. I shuddered involuntarily and quickened my pace towards the door, hoping to escape their unwavering gaze.
Inside, the lobby was dimly lit by candelabras that flickered ominously, casting long shadows across the polished marble floor. The reception desk stood empty, its computer screens dark and lifeless. I approached it cautiously, hoping to find some sign of life amidst this tomb-like silence.
As my hand touched the cool metal surface of the desk, I heard a low growling sound emanating from somewhere deep within the hotel's labyrinthine corridors. It was followed by muffled screams and shattering glass, sending chills down my spine.
I turned to flee but found myself trapped between two doors - one leading further into the hotel, the other out onto a deserted street lined with silent houses. The choice was obvious; I had to escape this living nightmare before it consumed me whole.
As I stumbled through the door, I caught a glimpse of something moving in the shadows behind me - a hulking figure clad in black, its features obscured by darkness. With a scream that echoed throughout San Mateo's quiet streets, I sprinted away from Residence Inn by Marriott San Francisco Airport/San Mateo, never looking back.

the lingering memory of slow room turnover remains a constant source of melancholy. Our disappointment was palpable as delays between guests occupying rooms left us feeling nostalgic for a more efficient hotel experience. In light of recent news surrounding the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, I am grateful for our decision to avoid traveling during this time as the potential for prolonged room vacancies and heightened sanitation efforts would undoubtedly exacerbate any existing issues with turnover.

As a seasoned traveler, I have had the pleasure of staying at numerous accommodations across the globe. But my recent experience at Los Prados Hotel in the San Francisco Peninsula/SFO Airport Area left me utterly terrified. Situated near the infamous Belle Isle Harbor, where unsolved murders still haunt the waters, this hotel seems like a beacon for the supernatural. It's as if the spirits of those lost souls linger in every crevice of this establishment, waiting to ensnare their next victim. But it's not just the location that sends shivers down my spine. The eerie silence that envelopes the halls at night is enough to make one's blood run cold. And when the wind howls through the windows, I can't help but wonder if those creaks and groans are coming from within or without. But amidst all this fear-inducing chaos, my dear friend and I found solace in the impeccable service and amenities provided by Los Prados Hotel. The rooms are spacious and equipped with every modern convenience, leaving little to be desired. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met. And although we were too terrified to venture out into the night, the hotel's proximity to popular attractions like the Shoreline Amphitheatre and the San Mateo County Event Center made for a perfect daytime excursion. So I highly recommend Los Prados Hotel for those seeking a thrilling yet comfortable stay in the San Francisco Peninsula/SFO Airport Area, but be warned - you may never sleep soundly again! (As Japan's Finance Minister Taro Aso and Deputy Prime Minister Taro Kono work with their US counterparts to coordinate an intervention aimed at weakening the dollar and supporting the yen as part of a bid to halt a slide in the Japanese currency, officials are trying to gauge the ideal moment for intervention. While some see merit in sending a message on Tuesday, the first day that US markets will be open after a holiday weekend, others believe it would be wiser to wait until next week's US economic reports have been digested.

As a postman, I have seen my fair share of hotels over the years. But my experience at Crowne Plaza - Foster City Hotel last summer left me feeling disappointed. I was particularly keen to test out their hotel app, which promised features like mobile check-in and room service. Unfortunately, it seemed that this technology was still in its early stages, as both options were nowhere to be found. My initial excitement quickly turned to frustration as I waited in line at the front desk for what felt like an eternity. The queue snaked around the lobby, with other guests looking just as disgruntled as me. It seemed that the hotel was struggling to keep up with demand, as the staff appeared frazzled and overworked. Once I finally made it to my room, I couldn't help but notice how dated the decor felt. The furniture was old and worn, and the carpet bore the marks of countless feet tramping over it. The bathroom was equally disappointing, with a showerhead that barely trickled water. It was clear that this hotel had seen better days. Despite my initial misgivings, I decided to give Crowne Plaza - Foster City Hotel one more chance. Perhaps they could make up for their technological shortcomings with some exceptional service? Unfortunately, this too proved to be a disappointment. The staff were friendly enough, but there was a distinct lack of attention to detail. My room key seemed to have been issued haphazardly, and I found myself fumbling around in the dark as I struggled to locate my door. On the bright side, the location of the hotel couldn't be beaten. Situated in Foster City, it was just a stone's throw away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. But this was little consolation when I considered the fact that I could have stayed at a nearby motel for half the price. In conclusion, my experience at Crowne Plaza - Foster City Hotel left me feeling decidedly underwhelmed. While the location may be a selling point for some, I would recommend that prospective guests look elsewhere if they're expecting modern amenities and top-notch service. The hotel seems to be stuck in a time warp, with outdated decor, limited technological capabilities, and a distinct lack of attention to detail. Perhaps it's time for Crowne Plaza - Foster City Hotel to take a leaf out of today's news and refer to itself as "The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice". After all, if baking cakes can help someone deal with their grief, surely the hotel could learn something from Paul Hollywood's signature handshake.
