Apparently, there had been a dispute between two lovers in the hotel's restaurant that escalated into a physical altercation. The security team reacted by restraining both individuals and calling the police, but not before causing quite a commotion which could have easily resulted in further violence or property damage. In conclusion, I would strongly advise against staying at the Macdonald Kilhey Court Hotel in Wigan. Not only do they offer subpar accommodations and customer service, but their lack of concern for guests' well-being is also cause for concern. If you're looking for a comfortable and safe place to stay while in the area, I suggest considering alternative options.
