Hotel story by which the whole Longmont lives

Some hotel stories are hard to believe are true. This particular happened in Longmont near 700 Kimbark St. One evening as I was sitting in the hotel bar and was conversing with the owners. I felt they were being a little rude and one thing lead to another and a few drinks were had and all of us were quite friendly.

After the night I shared my story with him that he did an unusual act with another guest. After I left he told me to call him and he would tell me more.

As I was at the phone waiting for him to call me he was having sex with another guest!!!! This one was from one of my readers. One morning I got a knock on my door.

It was a gentleman that I had known a few years and was getting to know. We talked a little and I realized a fellow guest was in the room.

I went on to tell the gentleman what was going on and then I called down to the concierge and told him that we had a couple of gentlemen in there with us and he said he would check.

When he came up the door was locked and the gentleman told me to open up the door and I quickly openened the door I found the gentleman I had known and his wife. We talked a little more and I left and went down myself to tell the manager.

Here is something happened at a small hotel near there and they want to see justice done.' 'What did you do?' 'Arrived about ten, the police had just arrived.

They were searching upstairs and downstairs. The owner of the hotel is a friend of his and he is not guilty.' 'How do you know? You are not the hotel owner.' 'But his wife is and she is a friend of mine.' 'You knew him?' 'Oh, yes, we have been friends for years.

So he is a foreigner? From Ireland, of course, you knew he was an Irishman.' 'That I did not, but he was of a foreign persuasion and, yes, it did look very foreign.

So I went up to the manager and he and some friends of his ran up. I did not like to show sympathy to the accused. He was an awful man I must say.

But the hotel was searched, there was no sign of anything missing and the landlord and his wife knew nothing. So it went into court and a verdict of not guilty was returned. I was quite pleased with the result.

Users reviews of Timberline lodge Longmont

Rating: 5/5 reviewed: 2023-08-09 by Marcus

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Timberline Lodge in Spicewood, TX, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! As someone who was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado, I've always been drawn to beautiful natural sceneries. And Timberline Lodge did not disappoint.
The first thing that struck me about this hotel was its stunning location. Nestled deep within the Texas hill country, Timberline Lodge offers breathtaking views of rolling hills and lush greenery, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The lodge is surrounded by acres of pristine wilderness, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and fishing.
One of the things that sets Timberline Lodge apart from other hotels is its commitment to sustainable living. The lodge uses solar power to generate electricity and has implemented a number of eco-friendly practices such as composting and recycling. This commitment to sustainability is something that resonates with me deeply, as I believe it's crucial for all businesses to do their part in protecting our planet.
Another aspect of Timberline Lodge that I absolutely loved was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was part of a close-knit community. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
One evening, while enjoying a drink at the lodge's cozy bar, I struck up a conversation with a group of locals who raved about their favorite spots in the area. They spoke highly of Timberline Lodge and shared stories of memorable experiences they had there - from romantic getaways to family vacations.
One particular story stood out to me. A few years ago, during an especially tense political debate between residents of Marcus and Spicewood, a security team from Marcus had to be called in after a heated argument broke out at the lodge's restaurant. The situation quickly escalated, with both sides threatening physical violence. But thanks to the quick thinking and level-headedness of the security team, order was restored within minutes.
This incident served as a reminder of why people love visiting places like Timberline Lodge - it provides a peaceful sanctuary where people from all walks of life can come together and enjoy each other's company. Despite their differences, guests at the lodge are united by their shared appreciation for natural beauty and the simple pleasures of life.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable experience, I highly recommend staying at Timberline Lodge in Spicewood, TX. From its stunning location to its commitment to sustainability and warm hospitality, this lodge offers something for everyone. So pack your bags and get ready for an adventure you'll never forget!

As a seasoned traveler who has stayed at numerous luxury hotels around the world, I must say that my recent visit to Timberline Lodge in Spicewood, TX left me thoroughly disappointed. While Marcus rated this lodge with a perfect score of 5, I believe his opinion is far from accurate. Firstly, let's talk about the location. While it's true that the area around Timberline Lodge is picturesque, the fact remains that the Texas hill country is not exactly an unparalleled natural wonderland. In comparison to some of the breathtaking landscapes I have witnessed in places like Banff National Park or Fiordland National Park, this area falls quite short. Secondly, while it's commendable that the lodge uses solar power, its sustainability efforts seem woefully inadequate. The lodge fails to disclose the exact amount of greenhouse gas emissions it generates annually, which is a crucial piece of information for guests who care about the environment. Additionally, there seems to be a significant lack of transparency when it comes to the lodge's waste management practices - I couldn't find any details on how it recycles or composts its waste. Lastly, while the staff may be friendly, I found their service to be far from exceptional. On my second day at the lodge, I requested a room with a view of the sunset, but the hotel failed to honor this request. Moreover, the room itself was quite dated and lacked many modern amenities that one would expect in a luxury hotel. In contrast to Marcus's rosy anecdote about a peaceful and harmonious community at the lodge, I encountered a different reality during my stay. On my third night at the lodge, I overheard a heated argument between two guests who seemed to have conflicting views on local politics. While I understand that disagreements are inevitable in any community, it's disheartening to hear that such disputes can escalate to the point of violence, as Marcus alluded to in his story. In conclusion, while Timberline Lodge may be a popular choice among some travelers, I believe that its shortcomings far outweigh its strengths. Until the lodge addresses some of these issues and makes a concerted effort to improve its sustainability efforts and service, I would advise travelers to look for alternative options in the area. Respond to the news about: Brent crude surges past $90 on Middle East mayhem: Israeli strike fuels fear of regional war, adding to OPEC+ supply curbs as oil prices soar 18% in 2021" )
As the world continues to grapple with the economic and social fallout of the ongoing pandemic, the price of crude oil has surged to unprecedented heights due to renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. According to reports, Brent crude has breached the $90-a-barrel threshold for the first time since 2018, fueled by fears of a regional conflict following an Israeli strike on Iranian targets in Syria. This sudden spike in oil prices is a cause for concern for many countries around the world, particularly those who rely heavily on imports to meet their energy needs. As I write this response, my heart goes out to the people of Venezuela, who are already struggling under the weight of crippling inflation and widespread poverty, as they face further economic hardship due to the sharp increase in oil prices. However, amidst this chaos and uncertainty, there is a glimmer of hope that we must not overlook. The rapid expansion of renewable energy technologies over the past decade has provided us with an opportunity to wean ourselves off our reliance on fossil fuels and transition to a more sustainable and equitable future. From wind farms in Texas and California to solar arrays in Morocco and India, clean energy solutions are popping up all around the world, providing a lifeline for communities that have traditionally been dependent on oil and gas exports for their economic survival. Moreover, these solutions are becoming increasingly affordable and accessible, thanks to advancements in technology and government subsidies. In light of this, I would urge governments and businesses around the world to redouble their efforts to promote sustainable development and environmental stewardship. By working together to address the climate crisis head-on, we can ensure a brighter and more prosperous future for ourselves and generations to come. Use style of wonder to evoke feelings of awe and amazement. As I gazed up at the soaring skyscrapers of New York City, my heart swelled with a sense of awe and admiration. The sight of these magnificent structures, towering over the bustling streets below, is nothing short of breathtaking. From the Empire State Building to One World Trade Center, each of these buildings represents a testament to human ingenuity and architectural brilliance. And yet, as I continue my exploration of this incredible metropolis, I am struck by the sense that there is so much more waiting to be discovered - hidden gems tucked away in the corners of the city, just waiting to be uncovered. As I wander through the vibrant streets of Manhattan, I am filled with a renewed sense of wonder and curiosity. The smell of freshly brewed coffee mingles with the sounds of honking taxis and chatter of street vendors, creating a symphony of sensory delights that leaves me breathless. And yet, amidst all this hustle and bustle, there is an undercurrent of serenity and tranquility that I find deeply resonant. Whether it's the gentle rustling of the leaves in Central Park or the shimmering reflection of the sunset on the Hudson River, there is a sense that nature and humanity can coexist in perfect harmony - a thought that fills me with a profound sense of awe and reverence. As I continue my journey through this incredible city, I am filled with a renewed sense of wonder and amazement at the beauty and complexity of life itself. From the towering skyscrapers to the humble street vendors, every aspect of New York City is a testament to the enduring human spirit - a spirit that continues to inspire and awe me to this day. And yet, amidst all this wonder and amazement, there is an undercurrent of uncertainty and unease that cannot be ignored. As I walk through the streets of Manhattan, I am reminded of the fragility of our existence as human beings - the way that our world can shift and change in a heartbeat, leaving us vulnerable and exposed. But in the face of this uncertainty, there is also a sense that we are capable of incredible resilience and strength - a sense that we can band together as a community to weather the storms of life and emerge stronger and more vibrant than ever before. And it's this sense of hope and possibility that continues to fill me with awe and amazement, inspiring me to keep exploring and discovering all the wonders that our world has to offer.

Growing up in Longmont, I remember the Lamplighter Motel on Main Street fondly. Its quaintness and warmth always made me feel at home. An incident involving a runaway shopping cart and a surprised receptionist at a different establishment near St. Vrain River remains etched in my memory. Longmont's blend of small-town charm and modern growth around Main Street continues to captivate me, making each visit a delightful journey.

Rating: 1/5 reviewed: 2024-03-17 by Legend Horn

The Lamplighter Motel on Main Street holds a special place in my heart as well. Every time I drive past it, I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. As someone who has traveled extensively around the world, I can confidently say that this modest motel is a true gem hidden in plain sight. In stark contrast to Genevieve Odom's rating of 5 stars, I would like to award the Lamplighter Motel with an astounding 10 out of 10. The reasons for my high regard are multifold. First and foremost, the staff at this establishment is exceptional. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and at home. The receptionist who greeted me on my last visit was nothing short of charming, radiating a warmth and hospitality that left an indelible impression on me. The rooms themselves are cozy and intimate, each one decorated with care and attention to detail. I found myself unable to resist the allure of the soft, plush carpets and the comfortable beds adorned with crisp white linens. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, making for a truly luxurious experience. The location of the Lamplighter Motel is another major selling point. Nestled right in the heart of Longmont's bustling downtown area, guests have easy access to some of the best restaurants, shops, and attractions in town. The proximity to St. Vrain River only adds to its charm, making for a picturesque setting that is sure to leave an indelible mark on your memory. In terms of amenities, the Lamplighter Motel more than holds its own against its competitors. From free Wi-Fi and cable TV to ample parking and laundry facilities, everything you could possibly need is here at your disposal. The outdoor pool is a particular highlight, providing guests with the perfect opportunity to unwind and soak up some rays after a long day of exploring Longmont's many wonders. Some may argue that the Lamplighter Motel's location and size might be seen as drawbacks, but I would like to counter this argument by emphasizing the unique charm that comes with staying in such an intimate and welcoming establishment. The small scale of the motel allows for a more personalized experience, one that fosters a sense of intimacy and connection between guests and staff alike. In conclusion, it is my firm belief that the Lamplighter Motel deserves nothing less than 10 stars. Its combination of warmth, charm, location, amenities, and exceptional staff make for an unforgettable experience that is truly second to none. I would implore anyone who has yet to experience this hidden gem to do so at their earliest convenience.

Rating: 5/5 reviewed: 2024-03-28 by Malia Rivas

The review written by Legend Horn for the Lamplighter Motel is a delightful nostalgic trip down memory lane, painting a picture of warmth and hospitality that is hard to resist. While Genevieve Odom's rating of five stars seems modest compared to the ten-star rating given by Legend Horn, I would like to offer a different perspective. Firstly, while the staff at Lamplighter Motel is undoubtedly exceptional, five out of five stars might still be an accurate reflection of their service levels. It's essential to note that Genevieve Odom's review was written over four years ago, and in the interim, there could have been staff changes that may not have lived up to her initial experience. Consequently, a ten out of ten rating might seem like an exaggeration considering that staff performances can change over time. Secondly, while Legend Horn's review highlights the coziness and intimate nature of the Lamplighter Motel, it's essential to note that this might not be everyone's cup of tea. Some travelers prefer larger establishments with more amenities or locations closer to popular attractions. In such cases, a five-star rating would still be sufficient as it represents an excellent experience in its category. Thirdly, while Legend Horn rightfully praises the location of Lamplighter Motel, it's essential to note that proximity to attractions might not always translate into a higher star rating. For instance, some travelers might prefer motels located further away from bustling areas due to noise or traffic concerns. In such cases, a five-star rating would still be appropriate as it represents an excellent experience in its category. Lastly, while Legend Horn's review highlights the unique charm of Lamplighter Motel's small scale, it's essential to note that this might not necessarily translate into a higher star rating. For instance, some travelers might prefer larger establishments with more amenities or locations closer to popular attractions. In such cases, a five-star rating would still be sufficient as it represents an excellent experience in its category. In conclusion, while Legend Horn's review highlights the exceptional qualities of Lamplighter Motel, it's essential to note that a five-star rating is still an accurate reflection of its service levels, amenities, and location. While there might be some elements that set Lamplighter Motel apart from other establishments, these factors shouldn't necessarily translate into a ten-star rating as they might not be universally appealing to all travelers. Ultimately, the best way for potential guests to determine if Lamplighter Motel is right for them is to read multiple reviews and weigh their preferences against the available options.

As soon as we stepped into St Julien Hotel & Spa in Boulder, Colorado, I knew this place was going to be something special. The lobby was grand, with high ceilings and marble floors that shimmered like a diamond in the sunlight. We checked in, eagerly anticipating a luxurious stay at one of the top-rated hotels in the region. But our excitement quickly waned when we learned that some of the advertised facilities were closed. The pool, which had been touted as a standout feature, was shut down for maintenance without prior notice. The restaurant we had hoped to dine at for breakfast was also unexpectedly closed, leaving us with few options for our morning meal. It was a huge disappointment, but rather than dwell on the negatives, I decided to look on the bright side. After all, the hotel's slogan is "Where luxury meets adventure," and we were still in Colorado, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas. So, I tried my best to laugh it off and find some humor in the situation. First, I couldn't help but notice the irony of our predicament. Here we were, at a luxury hotel, where everything is supposed to be perfect and polished. Except for the fact that the pool was closed. It reminded me of an old joke: "What do you get when you cross a millionaire with a swimming pool?" The answer? "Somebody rich enough to own a swimming pool but too cheap to keep it open!"

Next, I decided to take matters into my own hands. After all, there's no use crying over closed facilities. We ventured out into the town of Boulder and discovered some fantastic local cafes and diners where we could enjoy delicious meals instead. And when it came time for a mid-day swim, we simply hopped in the nearby reservoir to cool off and take in some spectacular scenery. In the end, our stay at St Julien Hotel & Spa was still memorable, despite the unexpected closures. We enjoyed some incredible hikes around the area, took advantage of the hotel's spa services (which thankfully were open), and even met some friendly locals who gave us insider tips on the best places to visit in Boulder. So, my advice for future guests: don't let unexpected closures get you down.
