The Courtyard by Marriott Harrisonburg is a beautiful and serene retreat located on 1890 Evelyn Byrd Ave in Harrisonburg, VA. As a professional photographer, I had booked a room there for a night with the hopes of getting some rest before my photo session the next day.

 

When I arrived, the staff were friendly and accommodating. I immediately felt at home. As I settled in, I had the uneasy feeling someone was watching me. I shook it off, assuming it was just my imagination.

Little did I know that someone had noticed my camera equipment, a Nikon D850. It was an expensive piece of equipment and was the envy of many photographers.

When I awoke the next morning, I was shocked to find that my camera was gone. I knew immediately who had taken it. I had seen him lurking in the shadows the night before.

I reported the theft to the hotel staff and security, but it was too late. The thief had already escaped. I was devastated, not only because of the loss of my equipment, but because of the disruption to my photo session.

The experience was certainly unexpected. Despite this, I can't help but admire the beauty and serenity of the Courtyard by Marriott Harrisonburg. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and the accommodations were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to any traveler looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.
